Lipolytic Injections

What are lipolytic injections?

Lipolytic injections are used to treat the subcutaneous fat layer.

In other words, they are a non-surgical way to reduce fats in the body.

The treatment breaks down fat cells which are then passed through the lymphatic system.

The primary ingredient in lipolytic injections is deoxycholic acid.

Who can and can’t receive it

Lipolytic injections are relatively safe. However they should be avoided if you are/have:

  • Pregnant
  • Breastfeeding
  • Under 18 years old
  • Diabetic
  • Kidney disease
  • Liver disease
  • Allergies – raise these prior to treatment

Consultation

In our consultation, we’ll discuss the benefits of lipolytic injections.

These include that that they are good for chins, arms, thighs, stomachs, and love handles.

The treatment session is dependent on the patient’s current fat storage.

It is recommended that lipolytic injections are used in conjunction with a healthy diet and regular exercise.

Lipolytic injections can be received once per month, for a total of three months.

As the treatment is non-surgical, there is no expected downtime for the patient following treatment.

Depending on the area, either a cannula or a needle may be used to administer the injection.

The Benefit

This treatment aids fat loss if used in conjunction with a healthy diet.

They are beneficial to areas which are difficult to exercise.

What is injection lipolysis?

Injection lipolysis chemically reduces the number of fat cells around the injection site.

The chemical used, called deoxycholic acid, results in fat cell disruption and death.
